SOCK TOSS SHOWDOWN

Dump out a pile of clean socks. Set a laundry basket a few feet away.

Optional: For a fun challenge, set out two baskets and take turns competing—or play on teams and keep score!

Say: “We’re going to turn sock folding into a game! When you find a matching pair, roll it
up and try to toss it into one of the baskets. Let’s see who can get the most in!”

As socks go flying, cheer each other on. Celebrate the ones that make it in—and laugh about the ones that don’t. You could even take turns setting silly “sock challenges” for each other.

Encourage your child to cheer for you too! Say something like:

“I love how you’re cheering me on! Let’s both try to encourage each other every time we toss a sock. It helps us feel good and keeps us going.”

Ask:

• “What’s something else we’ve done better together?”
• “How did it feel to be on a team today?”
• How did it feel when someone encouraged you? How did it feel when you encouraged someone else?”

Say: “Thanks for folding socks with me! You made it fun—and I love working with you. I noticed how kind you were with your words—that really made a difference. Did you know God created us to help one another? When we do, it makes Him smile.”
